Despite having been born human, Poppy’s appearance is that of a ten week old kitten. This is to say that her mannerism, appearance, and behavior are that of a normal kitten’s. As to how it all came to be, it could all be centered around an unfortunate incident that occurred very early on in Poppy’s life. Due to this, Poppy has no recollection of ever having been human nor does she know how she would look like in her true form. As a cat, Poppy is a cute bundle of fluff complete with the four paws and tail. Breed-wise, she resembles a short-haired domestic kitten and will often use this breed as a go to answer. Overall, she has no other markings on her body and is entirely covered in soft black fur. Her weight is about 1.18 kilograms with a length of roughly 0.40 meters. Her look is completed with long whiskers and honeyed amber colored eyes.

✔ Optimistic: Being overly optimistic is a trait that truly defines this tiny rascal. After all, Poppy is a sweetheart who has a positive outlook on life. This, however, can lead many people to believe that she is a bit naive and, well, they aren’t wrong. Although treatments were given and procedures were pushed, nothing seemed to work. Instead, everything they did seemed to alter the way her mutation operated and further slow her aging process down. Poppy was born a healthy young girl to two non-mutation using parents. The proud parents were ecstatic to welcome the tiny bundle of joy home and named her Poppy after the vibrant colors of the flower. They were extremely joyful and spoiled the tiny child rotten every chance they could. Life was great until the tiny babe turned one. For, just around Poppy’s first birthday, Poppy’s parents decided it would be a cute idea to teach her about animals and their sounds. As a surprise for mostly themselves, they bought an animal alphabet book to take home and use as a base. They worked hard in order to find and prepare tiny plush toys to make the learning easier on their small daughter. They hoped it would be a good experience for her while also being a great way to spoil her rotten.
With everything finally prepared, Poppy’s parents celebrated the child’s day with lessons from the book. Much to their delight, everything was going smoothly until they reached the letter “C” for “cat”. When the Poppy saw the page, she stared intently at the picture of the black kitten and pointed curiously. Her mother, excited that the baby had responded positively, nodded enthusiastically and meowed as a response. “Cat,” she would say. “Meow.” Poppy garbled the words which prompted her father to hold up a kitty plush and meow alongside his wife. Poppy blinked and a wide smile would spread across her face. She laughed and clapped her hands in delight. Her parents, happy with the response, continued to shower her with the meows and nuzzle the plush against the tiny babe.
It would take only a minute before things would change. For, although all Poppy seemingly did was laugh, she would somehow transform into a tiny black kitten right in the middle of her parent’s teasing. Happening all in the blink of an eye, it was of no surprise that Poppy’s parents were shocked. Poppy, however, had no clue what had happened and meowed in confusion. This time, however, it was very clear in sound and not a jumbled mess of words. Her parents, on the other hand, screamed. This led to the tiny figure wincing and scurrying off to another part of the house. When her parents were able to react, they attempted to have their daughter transform back but it was to no avail. Their precious daughter was now a tiny kitten.
